Oklahoma!

Oklahoma! is a musical production set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory. The story follows a farm girl and her courtship by rival suitors, a cowboy and a frightening farmhand, while a secondary romance involves another cowboy and his flirtatious fiancée. This production epitomizes the development of the book musical, in which songs and dances are fully integrated into a story with serious dramatic goals that evokes genuine emotions. It remains a popular choice for school and community productions.
