The Calling
The Calling is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1996 by lead singer and guitarist Alex Band and guitarist Aaron Kamin. The group is best known for their 2001 single "Wherever You Will Go," which topped the US Billboard Adult Top 40 chart for 23 weeks and was later named the number-one song of the 2000s on that chart. This track preceded the release of their 2001 debut studio album, Camino Palmero. While the band achieved commercial success, critical responses to their music were generally negative.
