The Lovin' Spoonful
The Lovin' Spoonful is a Canadian-American folk-rock band formed in Greenwich Village, New York City, in 1964. The group became highly popular in the United States during the mid-1960s, influencing many contemporary rock acts of their era. Following their July 1965 debut single, "Do You Believe in Magic", the band secured seven consecutive top-ten singles on the US charts over the next eighteen months. This successful run included the number-two hits "Daydream" and "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?", alongside the chart-topping single "Summer in the City".
