Reduced Shakespeare Company
The Reduced Shakespeare Company is an American touring acting troupe that performs fast-paced, seemingly improvisational condensations of different topics. Known as the "Bad Boys of Abridgment," the company uses a "New Vaudeville" style that combines physical and verbal, highbrow and lowbrow humor. The troupe has created eleven stage shows, including abridged versions of Shakespeare's works, the Bible, and history. The company tours in the United States and the United Kingdom, has performed in countries such as Canada, Australia, and Japan, and is heard on NPR and the BBC.
