The Spirit of Christmas
The Spirit of Christmas is the title of two stop-motion animated short films created by the duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Animated using cutout animation, these films were released in 1992 and 1995, forming the basis for the animated series South Park. The latter short features more established depictions of the series' characters and setting. Retroactively referred to as Jesus vs. Frosty and Jesus vs. Santa, clips from both films appear on billboards during the opening sequence of South Park's first four seasons.
