Candide

Candide is an operetta production featuring music and lyrics based on a classic novella of the same name. Multiple contributors have shaped the text and orchestrations over time. The operetta is generally performed with a book that remains faithful to the original novella. Although it initially faced unenthusiastic reactions from early audiences and critics, the production has since overcome those early receptions to achieve greater popularity.
