Tootsie

Tootsie is a musical comedy production featuring music and lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Robert Horn. Based on the 1982 American comedy film written by Larry Gelbart, Murray Schisgal, and Don McGuire, the stage show premiered in Chicago in September 2018. The story follows a talented but volatile actor who, due to his difficult reputation, adopts a female identity to secure a job. While the original film was set around a daytime soap opera, this musical adaptation centers the story around a Broadway musical.
