The Last Waltz

The Last Waltz is a production based on the 1976 farewell concert by the Canadian-American rock group the Band. Held at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, the concert featured the group joined by more than a dozen special guests, including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, and Ringo Starr, under the musical direction of John Simon. The event was also captured in a 1978 concert film directed by Martin Scorsese, documenting this collaborative performance advertised as the Band's final concert appearance.
