Crystal Gayle
Crystal Gayle, born Brenda Gail Webb in 1951, is an American country music singer. Encouraged by her oldest sister, Loretta Lynn, Gayle shifted her musical direction early in her career, signing a new record contract and collaborating with Nashville producer Allen Reynolds. This partnership developed a country pop and middle-of-the-road sound that appealed to a broader audience. She became one of the most successful crossover artists of the 1970s and 1980s, widely recognized for her 1977 hit "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and her distinctive floor-length hair.
