I Am The Avalanche
I Am the Avalanche is an American punk rock band originating from Brooklyn, New York. The group's name is derived from a lyric written by Vinnie Caruana for a song that was ultimately discarded. Although the exact phrase also appears in the poem "Oh, Immobility, Death's Vast Associate" by Stephen Dobyns, Caruana has stated that this is entirely a coincidence, as he was unaware of the poem's existence until after the band had already been named.
