Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a rock musical that follows a genderqueer East German singer of a fictional rock and roll band. The story draws on experiences as the child of a military officer in occupied West Berlin, with the central character inspired by a German military spouse in Kansas. The production features music steeped in an androgynous glam rock style and early punk. This stage show has been performed worldwide, with productions off-Broadway, on the West End, and on Broadway.
