Ramayana
The Ramayana is a production based on the ancient Hindu smriti epic poem from India, traditionally attributed to Valmiki. As one of the two important Hindu epics known as the Itihasas, this narrative of past events is interspersed with teachings on the goals of human life. The story follows the life and journey of Rama, the prince of Ayodhya and the seventh avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. One of the largest ancient epics in world literature, the original work consists of nearly 24,000 verses divided into seven chapters.
